The RT-400 is a state-of-the-art Radio Direction Finder designed for search and rescue operations, law enforcement, and pinpointing radio interference sources. This portable and rugged system allows for precise homing to radio transmitters within the frequency range of 118 to 470 MHz, including emergency frequencies such as 121.5, 243, and 406 MHz (COSPAS-SARSAT). The RT-400 utilizes wireless antenna-tablet communication to display and save bearing lines on a moving map, enabling efficient triangulation and localization of beacons. When decoding COSPAS-SARSAT signals, the software indicates beacon positions, true bearings, and distances directly on the map. With the SAR Scan algorithm, homing COSPAS-SARSAT beacons is made easier as it automatically detects the correct frequency and scans for 121.5 MHz between C/S pulses.
